My Professional Background

I'm a full-stack engineer with experience managing large scale projects and teams in e-commerce, insurance and finance. I work primarily in TypeScript with React but have also worked with Scala and Python.

I am interested in Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning. I studied AI through my Masters course and dissertation. I am particularly interested in the application of ML models to enhance the the productivity and capabilities of humans.

Experience

2024
I successfully completed my part-time MSc in Computer Science at the University of Bath. I undertook a dissertation on implementing a Hypergraph Neural Network for early diagnosis of dementia.
2022
After Depop was acquired by Etsy for $1.6b, I made the decision to focus on my technical skill and knowledge by moving into a full time Software Engineering role.
2018
Headhunted for the role, I joined my second start up Depop as Software Development Manager, leading on agile and technical processes and managing senior engineers.
2017
Entering the world of start ups, I led an agile transformation for Tide, a successful fintech SME banking provider.
2016
I moved to DLG as the Scrum Master for their car insurance offerings, working with a distributed team across Poland, India and the UK.
2015
Starting my IT career in AXA PPP, a private healthcare insurer, I worked as a Business Analyst and Scrum Master on a large project to migrate the key workflow system.
